The neighborhood I live in has an abandoned golf course which I am privy to walk the path. It’s very private and beautiful, displaying the Glory of our Creator, especially during the change of seasons.
As the leaves turned their beautiful shades of autumn, surrendered from their limbs and fell to the ground, they completely covered entire areas of the path, whereas before it was always a very tidy and easy road to maneuver! My thoughts started racing… I began to ask The Creator of all this beauty, “what are You showing me?” And these are my ponderings.
Had I become so blinded to the things that are around me, only focusing on the view in my sight that I had lost vision for spreading The Word. Was I so concerned about my own well-being and forgetting that there are people who need to hear The Good News that is stowed away in my heart… how single-minded of me.
This brings me to my point. There are those who have been appointed to be givers financially. If you have given for a season and stopped, petition our Father to see if you stopped on your own accord, or was it His decision.
If you are thinking of starting to donate, do it in faith. Start where He leads you. When you sow into The Lydia Project, your contributions are sent forth to help the widows, orphans and victims of terror in the Land of Israel.
We are not promising you a miracle or worldly goods, but we can say you are helping fulfill the Great Commission by supporting in the area of giving financially.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” -James 1:27
Who knows the path you are creating for someone else to walk down… and be able to behold the beauty of our Creator.
In His Shalom,
